Forecast was grey but dry and 28 to 35 knots.
On the way to the coast the sky slowly turned blue, in the end it was sunny almost all afternoon.
Sailed with the Tri-Wave 89, combined with the Banzai 4.7 and 4.2. Lovely waveriding and jumping.
Great day, especially when the sun was shining it was not cold at all.

Still warm weather, and a lot of wind predicted. Surfing on day 2 of the new year.
Started with Banzai 4.2 and Goya One 95, later wind decreased and switched to Banzai 5.3 with FSW 102.
It was very gusty, wind turned all the time. Pretty good choice in terms of equipment.

Forecast: Slightly less wind than the day before. SW. So should be nice 4.7 weather ended up rigging: FSW 102 and Banzai 6.0. Lots of fun waves to jump, often high jumps. Sail was soon trimmed over max: too big.
The 6.0 was the wrong choice. Had I started with 5.3 it would have been too big at the end. But still reasonably doable.

Last days of the year, forecast: wind and 10+ degrees. Autumn was relatively bad.
Sailed with Banzai 4.2 and Triwave 89.
Set worked very well. Control and range very good. A bit of back-side riding. Waves never high enough for front-side. It was nice to really sail with a small sail again. [Read...]
