Today WNW wind predicted, perfect for the Grevelingendam.
Sailed with the Banzai 4.7 on the Goya One 95.
Set was perfect for these conditions, nice and fast, good control and went upwind very well. Often planing jibes. Very occasionally a wave for a small jump.
It was clearly colder than Friday. On Friday with the 4/3 mm it was fine, today with the 5/3mm wetsuit and still cold feet, at the end really hardly any feeling anymore. Unfortunately, mittens and headband were not in the trailer: poorly prepared. [Read...]

Stopped working early to catch the tail end of Benjamin.
It was quite busy on at the dam: Autumn holidays.
Sailed with the Banzai 4.2 on the Wave Slate.
Unfortunately almost only swell and no steep waves, so not much for wave riding. Occasionally found something for a back-side hit. The few times the wave was good enough to try front-side
not the best surf condition, so tired relatively quickly. It was nice to sail again. 4.2 was great. Unfortunately there were not very many good waves. So basically, the Wave Slate wasn't the best choice. [Read...]

Bad weather predicted for Monday: heavy storm with heavy showers. In the morning it turned out to be dry and even blue skys. Wind expected up to 42 knots. So a chance for a nice day.
Sailed with the Banzai 3.7 on the Custom Thruster 81 and K4 Scorcher 20/10cm.
Pfff, wind was very strong, in the beginning really no control.
Sailed until I was really empty and arms hurt.
Wind was on the edge, it was just possible to sail in. Sometimes just too much, half the time fun sailing.
It was clear blue sky almost all the time, not cold at all. And with 8 surfers, also very quiet. [Read...]

Good wind forecast for the end of the afternoon. Concert-at-Sea started today, last part of the trip a big traffic jam: 20 minutes delay.
Not a lot of surfers, but wind stronger than Sunday, so time for the 4.2.
Sailed with the Banzai 4.2, first on de Grip 93, later the One 95.

After a few tropical days, the wind would be very good on Sunday evening.
Sailed with the Banzai 4.7 on the One 95 with White Water 8.0 and MFC 11cm thrusters
Get on the board and was planing. First wave, directly jumping. Back towards the beach wave riding.
It was great. The weather and the water were warm. The wind was good, not too gusty. Waves were quite good, sometimes 1m high and longer lines where multiple hits were possible. [Read...]

Forecast looked perfect for the Grevelingendam: WNW and 20 knots of wind with little rain.
Sailed the Banazai 5.3 and 4.7 on the Goya One 95.
There were a lot of nice waves. But unfortunately there was also quite a bit of seaweed. I had 3 catapults.
Wind was great, stable and perfect direction for the Grevelingendam. Sun even came through every now and then, no rain. Unfortunately, there is quite a bit of seaweed, especially in the shallower water. Time to buy a few weed fins? [Read...]

Only the 2nd session of the year, and that at the end of May: not the best spring. We have had no SW wind at all.
Sailed the Banzai 4.2 on the Grip 93 with MFC 20/10 thruster fins.
It was great to have good WSW wind again. And then the first 1.5 hours also clear blue sky: wonderful. Too bad I didn't have a good surfing condition myself, so I was tired quickly. [Read...]

Very late start of the season. Unfortunately a long time no wind, or just too cold.
Sailed the Banzai 6.0 on the F-Cross 113 with MFC 32cm.
Great to finally be surfing again. In retrospect, the Grevelingendam was the best choice. Somehow there was less wind at the sea.
