After 2 top days, the wind would decrease today. Used the best wind of the day. It was very quiet at Blokkendam. Sailed with JP FSW 102 with Goya Banzai 5.3 and Makani 26cm. In retrospect, I should have taken the 5.9. Some nice little waves. So could make some small jumps. Not much waves for riding. Wind was too west for the best conditions at Blokkendam. Wind was predicted for the entire day, with showers in the morning and dry in the afternoon. Sailed all day with the JP FSW 84 with Banzai 4.2 and Freewave 21/makani 10cm. Great sailing, lots of beautiful waves to ride or jump. Lots of back-side waveriding, some frontside riding. The 4.2 was perfect, sometimes it was a bit tricky, some gusts really hard, but mostly it was a lot of fun sailing. Temperature was still nice and warm, water was still nice and warm, sunshine was shining: Great day. [Read...]

Today in the afternoon also good and 26 degrees. On arrival it was not very busy. Started with JP Ultimate Wave 94 with Banzai 5.3 and MFC 21/11 fins, First time with the Ultimate Wave as thruster was not disappointing, clearly better than as a quad. Later switch for a 22cm center fin, sailed until the wind decreased. Then grabbed the JP FSW 102. Wind slowly increased, so switched back to the Ultimate Wave. Never before, 2/2 short arm wetsuits was too warm, so stupid to forget my shorty. Not quite convinced by the Ultimate Wave 94. [Read...]
