Another storm this weekend: Dennis, strongest wind on Sunday. But Saturday also a nice wind predicted. Jurjen was already on the water. Started with the Freewave 102 with Ice 5.3 and MFC OnShore 24cm. Wind was gusty, fin not perfect for the flat water. Tested the Super Mini 103 of Jurjen, special board. Then took the Makani 26cm under the JP 102: that works very well. Wind wasn't super, temperature wasn't cold, but certainly last hour was wonderfully sailing. [Read...]

On arrival, the wind had just subsided, so rigged a size bigger than most: Freestylewave 102 with Duke 5.9, which was too big at first. Later, the wind died off and sail was too small. Then took the iSonic 101, wind came back, then it was lovely sailing, but also died off again, time to stop. Strong wind predicted for the afternoon, 13 degrees, no deadlines at work, so took the afternoon of and went to Zeeland. Started with JP FSW 102 with Ice 5.3 and Makani 26cm, but that was soon too big. Then sailed with the JP FSW 84 with Ice 4.7 and Freewave 22.5cm/Makani 8cm sailed. Sailed until it was dark. After a few weeks just too cold to surf, today finally wind and 8 degrees. Sailed with iSonic 117 with S-Type 7.3 and SLX 43cm. Wind was too south again, but was not extremely gusty.
